Share the Love by Paying What You Can at Club Greenslopes

Club Greenslopes, one of Brisbane’s non-profit entertainment and recreational venue, is inviting everyone on the 3rd of February at 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. to “Share The Love,” an event in support of Indelabilityarts.

Indelabilityarts is a non-profit theatre company that offers artistic workshops and opens creative opportunities for community members who identify as having a disability. The group had its first mainstage show this year, “Look Mum… No Hands.” The team hopes to bring this show to the Fringe Festival, Australia’s biggest open access arts festival based in Adelaide, from February to March.

By paying what you can during the “Share The Love” event at Club Greenslopes, people can help Indelabilityarts to fulfill their goal of performing at the stage of Fringe Festival 2018.

“Share the Love” promises an evening of entertainment with music, trivia games, and comedy performances happening all through the night. There will be a raffle draw with exciting prizes at stake. Everyone is welcome to participate atarefoot bowls by 5:30 p.m.

Food and drinks are available for purchase at the Club Greenslopes at an extra cost. Spare change can be donated to Indelabilityarts or can be spent on raffle tickets or company merchandise.

A December Dance Party is Happening in Greenslopes

It’s going to be a night of rock and rhythm ’n blues at Club Greenslopes on the 2nd of December, headed by The Walters, DJ Leapin’ Lawrie, and Miss Teresa & Her Rhythmaires. Organised by Lori Lee and Robot Productions, doors to the December Dance Party 2017 open at 6:00 p.m. and the party starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at $20 per adult. Those below 18 years old can enter for free, provided they come with their parents or guardians.

Ms Lee and Robot Productions have always been known for organising “kool, kustom culture events” such as hot rod shows, rockability concerts, fashion and pinup parades, art displays, and markets. The outfit has been in the party industry since 2000 and had a number of notable events under its name. It was the brains behind the annual Greazefest Kustom Kulture Festival, the BrizVegas Kustom Karnivals, the Twilight Hot Rod Shows and the Redlands Rockability Revival.

The team has also headed the promotion of some international shows for the Reverend Horton Heat, Big Sandy, Wayne Hancock, Los Straitjackets, Imelda May, The Paladins, Dale Watson, James Intveld, J.D. McPherson, The Bellfuries, Deke Dickerson, The Planet Rockers, The Nekromantix, and The Go Getters.

Club Greenslopes is a not-for-profit bowls and community club that has evolved to be a place for public and party gatherings. It has always been the first choice for events that feature jazz and rock and roll music, art festivals, and other functions including family events like weddings and birthdays. Its Courtyard, Verandah, Beergarden, and Function Hall are available for rental.

The December Dance Party for 2017 had been scheduled at the Greenhouse bistro where there is ample space for dancing. More party fun is available at the Greenhouse Bar at the sidelines where there are pinball machines, pool table, Sega rally racing, arcade games and more than 16 gaming machines. The bar is known for its menu of burger and pasta, including appetizers, made by head chef Vijay Nath.

Club Greenslopes is located at 131 Ridge street, Greenslopes. A bus station is conveniently located across the road. You won’t miss it!

Outline in Color Australian Tour

Outline in Color will rock the Greenslopes community on Friday, the 22nd of September. They are a five-member post hardcore band based from the USA. Currently visiting Brisbane as part of their Australian Tour, they’ll be performing alongside special guests Bayharbour and Kings.

The venue reserves the right to refuse admission to any person who are intoxicated. Dangerous stunts including crowd surfing and violent dancing will result in immediate removal from the concert. Wear comfy clothes, but thongs are not allowed.

The “Me Movement of My Life. My Style.” will host a “Happy Hour” for all women who want to have some “me-time”. It will be night of casual get togethers with friends, whilst enjoying complimentary drinks and nibbles, plus live music.

Caryn Thomas founded the “Me Movement” to inspire women to discover their true potential. It’s free to become a “Mover Member.” Proactive Members pay $97 per year and have access to discounted tickets for all of the movement’s events.
